Why are we called Ball & Chain? As a powerful group of women that betters the community and works hard to support one another-we poke fun at the negative connotation associated with the term. We work together to empower other women with the tools they need to have lives that are fulfilling despite the life challenges they may be facing. We encourage people, especially women, to do something for themselves by doing something for others.

Ball & Chain originated from seven core members. We first began with a goal in mind to provide a support system to one another. With that goal in mind, Ball & Chain expanded to offer assistance to outside sources and more people. Evolving into hosting events to better such causes as Breast Cancer, Domestic Violence, and the D.C. Aids Walk, we hope to contribute as much as we can to better organizations such as these. A strong, independent, and driven group of women, Ball & Chain is growing and expanding not only it's causes, but also it's members. We welcome committed women to join our group, and help us help others.
All members of Ball & Chain are volunteers who generously donate as much time as they can to contribute.
